Over the past several years I have focused on the medium of watercolor. The feel and texture of mould-made paper intrigues me. The colorful new pigments available, hand ground from minerals garnered from the earth itself, from the mountain sides, stream beds, and volcanic deposits found in sites around the world, provide me with the main ingredient to begin paintings based on nature. The following images have been accomplished over the past decade near the lakes and hills where I live and work.
